Camp Nou leads 2030 final venue race

Barcelona’s rebuilt Spotify Camp Nou is emerging as a leading candidate to host the 2030 World Cup final, according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo. FIFA is not expected to assign final venues until 2028, but the current assessment places Camp Nou ahead of Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu in the Spain race. The World Cup’s 104 matches are expected to be split across Spain (11 stadiums), Portugal (three) and Morocco (six). Mundo Deportivo highlights Camp Nou’s planned 105,000 capacity versus the Bernabéu’s 83,186, and notes Camp Nou is also expected to stage the 2029 Champions League final.
