Tadej Pogačar won stage three of the Tour de France on Monday, launching to victory on the ascent to Les Angles and taking the yellow jersey. UAE Team Emirates-XRG supported the sprint to the line, with Isaac del Toro—stage winner from the previous day—also credited during the push. Pogačar finished with a two-second advantage over Jonas Vingegaard of Visma-Lease a Bike, leaving the general classification level, with the lead decided by countback. Richard Carapaz placed third, while his EF Education-EasyPost teammate Alex Baudin led a breakaway to win the KOM jersey. Pogačar said Del Toro helped him gain “extra power” in the final climb, and described the stage as an opportunity created by strong team form. The day featured high temperatures and heightened wildfire risk, using an “exceptional format,” and included 3,940 meters of climbing on a lumpy, non-mountain profile.
