Daniel Cormier: UFC 332 winner Damian Pinas is 'single biggest power puncher' ever

Damian Pinas turned UFC 332 into a statement in Salt Lake City, needing only 75 seconds to knock out Andrey Pulyaev in a middleweight bout at the Delta Center. Pinas, 24, entered with an 11-1 MMA record and 3-0 in the UFC. A short uppercut from clinch range left Pulyaev unconscious, reinforcing expectations that Pinas is a heavy puncher at 185 pounds. UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier said he’d “never seen” anything like it and called Pinas “the single biggest power puncher” he’s witnessed since commentary began, with Joe Rogan backing that comparison to fighters such as Julian Jackson. Pinas said after the win he’s targeting the middleweight title, with Jon Anik framing a possible step toward elite competition.
