Denver International Airport expecting 8 million passengers in July
Denver International Airport is bracing for its busiest month on record, with officials forecasting eight million travelers in July, the same total reached during July 2025. To handle the surge, DEN is adding flights this summer, including United routes to Bangor, Maine, and Chattanooga, Tennessee; Southwest and Allegiant services to Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Florida, plus a Southwest service to Santa Rosa, California. With more than 200 flights available domestically and internationally, travelers can choose direct options to shorten trips and cut travel time.
Travelers are advised to arrive at least two hours before departures and plan time for parking, check-in, luggage, and security. Laura Jackson, Vice President of Air Service Development, noted that direct flights save hours versus connections, helping passengers reach vacation and business destinations faster. The airport continues to optimize schedules and capacity to meet summer demand while maintaining safety and efficiency for residents and visitors alike.
