Empty waterfront lot selling for nearly $17M in West Vancouver

A vacant waterfront lot in West Vancouver listed for $16.8 million is back on the market after the former home on the site was demolished nearly a decade ago. The property at 3612 Marine Dr. covers about 0.64 acres with an estimated 235 feet of natural shoreline. The listing describes a rare oceanfront building site and includes renderings for a proposed “Yacht House” designed by Arno Matis Architecture, intended to integrate with natural rock formations. The district previously considered the former Rockhaven House, built in 1929, a “secondary heritage resource.” In February 2017, council issued a 60-day temporary protection order after a demolition permit was filed; the structure was later removed. District staff say they haven’t received a building permit application for the new home.
