Fargo man killed on Interstate 29 near Argusville

A Fargo man was killed early Friday on Interstate 29 just north of Argusville when he stepped onto the southbound shoulder and was struck by a 2025 Freightliner semi. The 71-year-old pedestrian died at the scene. The crash occurred near mile marker 79, about a 20-minute drive north of Fargo. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. The semi driver, a 45-year-old man from St. Cloud, Minnesota, was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Investigators have not released further details as the investigation continues.
