Florida's Palm Beach airport renamed for Trump
Florida’s Palm Beach airport renamed for Trump marks a first in U.S. civil aviation naming: the facility in West Palm Beach has been officially renamed after President Donald Trump. The Federal Aviation Administration said the effective change on Thursday means the airport will be called the Donald J. Trump International Airport, replacing Palm Beach International Airport. The airport said updates to signage, branding and public-facing materials will be made in phases. Operationally, the FAA locational identifier will change from PBI to DJT, while the International Air Transport Association code update is scheduled for Aug. 18. United Airlines and Delta Air Lines began using “DJT” on booking pages on Thursday, though “PBI” can still be searched by consumers.
