FSU proclaims support for PCSA, but confident it will be amended by House
xCruzo Brief
Florida State’s Board of Trustees reaffirmed support for 98% of the Protect College Sports Act (PCSA) after criticism from Saving College Sports, a group tied to Texas Tech super-donor Cody Campbell. Speaking at a regularly scheduled meeting, FSU President Richard McCullough and board chair Peter Collins said the only major disagreement is tied to Section 205. That section requires schools to remain independent for three years if they change conferences and limits conference size to 20 teams. FSU, along with Miami, North Carolina and Clemson, says it wants the independence period removed and the cap raised to 22 as the bill moves to the House.
