Justin Greaves scripts history with five consecutive wicket maidens during WI vs PAK 1st Test

West Indies fast bowler Justin Greaves made history on Monday by becoming the first player in Test cricket to take five consecutive wicket maidens since ball-by-ball records became available. He achieved the feat in a match-changing spell around lunch on day three of the first ICC World Test Championship Test against Pakistan in Port of Spain, Trinidad. The same burst produced his maiden five-wicket haul in Tests. Greaves broke the prior record of four straight wicket maidens held by England’s Stuart Broad, set against South Africa in Johannesburg in January 2016. After Pakistan reached 244/3 with Shan Masood on 100, Greaves dismissed Masood, then removed Aamer Jamal, Ali Usman and Mohammad Rizwan in successive overs without conceding a run, leaving Pakistan 267/8 at lunch responding to West Indies’ 311.
