Juveniles petitioned in Bay City marina boat arson, break-ins

Two 12-year-old juveniles—a boy and a girl—were petitioned to juvenile court in Bay City, Michigan, after an October 9, 2025 incident at Liberty Harbor Marina that involved suspected arson and break-ins. Police say a 36-foot fiberglass pleasure boat named Farm-A-Sea was engulfed in flames at about 2 a.m., then sank and was declared a total loss. No firefighters or civilians were injured. The teens face 16 counts, including felony second-degree home invasion, third-degree arson, breaking and entering with intent, and malicious destruction of property between $1,000 and $20,000, plus misdemeanor larceny and related charges.
