Rick Rizzs, the longtime radio voice of the Seattle Mariners, is set for his final stretch after 41 seasons with the club and 52 years broadcasting professional baseball. Seattle will mark the milestone with its last home series against the Los Angeles Angels, leading into his final game Sunday at T-Mobile Park. Friday included Rizzs-themed postgame fireworks, and he’s scheduled to throw Saturday’s ceremonial first pitch. Sunday is designated as a full celebration, with commemorative placards for fans and tributes throughout the afternoon, including a “Holy Smokes” hotline for listeners to leave messages—some reportedly brought him to tears. Rizzs began his path in Chicago, practiced calling games as a boy, and later joined the Mariners in 1983 alongside Dave Niehaus.
