Newlywed dies, pregnant wife missing after fishing boat smashes into water taxi

A newly married couple is at the center of a Venice, Italy, boating tragedy after a small fishing boat collided with a water taxi in the lagoon. Sean Michieli, 25, died Saturday, three months after marrying his 26-year-old Brazilian partner, Gabriela Querino, according to L’Unione Sarda. The two were looking for bait when the impact threw them into the water and sank their vessel. Michieli was pulled out with serious injuries but later died. Querino—who moved to Italy two years ago and is pregnant with their first child—remains missing.
