Really disheartening and sad': Mother says son's memorial has been vandalized

A mother in Battleground, Washington says a memorial she and her family built for her 16-year-old son Tyler Miller has been vandalized twice in recent weeks. Tamara Worthington said the memorial at Florence Robinson Park—his “safe place” for fishing and hanging out—was damaged after a celebration added items for what would have been Tyler’s 18th birthday in June. She claims photos were crumpled, valuable mementos were stolen, and other items were discarded. Worthington linked the vandalism to the broader harm she says bullying caused before Tyler took his own life on Sept. 6, two years ago.
