Rowling's superyacht with hidden name sparks mystery after docking in Los Angeles
A reported $150 million superyacht linked to J.K. Rowling arrived at a marina in Los Angeles with its name deliberately concealed, sparking online speculation. The vessel was spotted by viewers associated with the Instagram account twogirls.oneboat, and commenters identified it as “Samsara,” which is reportedly Rowling’s boat. A California Post report said Rowling is confirmed as the owner, though she hasn’t been seen publicly. Superyacht broker Chris Cecil-Wright noted that covering a yacht’s name is unusual but sometimes done to reduce tracking and avoid backlash. At 290 feet long, the yacht reportedly accommodates 12 guests and a crew of 26. Built by Oceanco and delivered in 2015 as Infinity, it is estimated to cost up to $15 million per year to run.
