Revenues raised at Manchester Airports Group as transformation of T2 completes

Revenues rose for Manchester Airports Group as the transformation of Terminal 2 neared completion, with MAG reporting £1.5bn in revenue for the financial year ending 31 March 2026. That figure represented a 12.8% increase year-on-year, alongside a 12.5% cargo growth, led primarily by East Midlands Airport, described as the UK’s largest pure freight hub. MAG said East Midlands accounted for a third of all UK cargo growth and saw seven new airlines begin operations. Passenger throughput also climbed to more than 66m people across Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands airports, up 1.9%, supported by carriers including Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2.com and TUI. The company said the £1.5bn Terminal 2 program doubled capacity and created spare runway capacity, but warned future investment could be constrained if the government does not agree “predictable, proportionate, fair and objective” business rates.
