Russia says it may export up to 3.5 million tons of diesel a month by year-end
xCruzo Brief
Russia expects to restore diesel exports to between 3 million and 3.5 million tons per month by year-end, a return to “usual” shipping levels, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said Monday. Speaking on Rossiya-24, Novak linked the improvement to the diesel deal reached with U.S. President Donald Trump, saying additional Russian supplies will partially offset global supply and demand. The statement came as Washington seeks to lower diesel prices. Russia’s projected range suggests a significant ramp-up from current constrained volumes, but it also signals that the recovery depends on the timeline running through year-end.
