Scottish Gossip: McTominay, Ferguson, Barron, Reedijk, Vignal, Clearie

Napoli believe Scott McTominay wants to extend his contract despite reports linking him with Real Madrid. Giovanni Manna, Napoli’s sporting director, said talks are ongoing and that the 29-year-old Scotland midfielder wants to stay, even with interest reported. The report also cites valuation data placing McTominay at £34m, making him the 35th most valuable British player and top Scot in the latest Transfermarkt update, one spot ahead of Tottenham’s Archie Gray. Other links include Duncan Ferguson, identified as a candidate for Glentoran’s next manager, and Middlesbrough boss Kim Hellberg on Connor Barron’s limited loan minutes.
