The 2026 Maine antlerless deer permit lottery results are here

The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has released the results of the 2026 antlerless deer permit lottery. An antlerless permit allows hunters to take a doe or any deer with antlers measuring less than three inches. Permits are valid for only one designated wildlife management district (WMD) or subunit. The results can be searched by name, town, WMD, or state. Hunters not selected in the lottery can still pursue additional permits. Extra permits go on sale online Sept. 15 on a first-come, first-served basis, with another sale period starting Sept. 29. For WMDs 21-25 and 29, permits are guaranteed available throughout the season. Hunters may hold up to four antlerless permits.
