The Bengals announced their captains for the 2026 NFL season

The Cincinnati Bengals named seven team captains for the 2026 season, including quarterback Joe Burrow and receiver Jamar Chase, plus center Ted Karras, kicker Evan McPherson, cornerback DJ Turner II, safety Bryan Cook and defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence II. Cincinnati announced the group on Sept. 7. Among the defense, the three voted captains—Turner, Cook and Lawrence—bring some turnover: Cook and Lawrence are entirely new to the organization after being acquired in free agency this offseason. In 2025, the Bengals had seven captains with four offensive players and three defensive. Burrow, Chase, offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. and Karras represented the offense; defensively, Trey Hendrickson, Logan Wilson and BJ Hill were captains, with Wilson later traded to Dallas and Hendrickson limited by injury.
