Three people charged with making threats in Nolan Wells case

Three people have been charged in connection with threats allegedly made during the investigation of Nolan Wells, an 18-year-old who was found dead after a July 4 boat trip with friends to Horn Island, Mississippi. An independent autopsy commissioned by Wells’ family listed his cause of death as “undetermined.” Authorities say none of the three defendants know the Wells family or anyone else tied to the case. Edward James Porter, of Illinois, faces federal charges for allegedly threatening a witness and their family in July 31 calls. Michelle Francine Edwards, of Ohio, is charged with allegedly making bomb threats on July 23 to the George County Chancery Clerk’s Office and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Joseph Alfredo Vasquez Dumarce was charged for an alleged threatening Facebook message sent on July 14 to a Jackson County Chancery Court judge.
