USDA Grants $145,838 to Pennsylvania Beef Producer - MyChesCo

The USDA announced a Value-Added Producer Grant of $145,838 for Family Farm Direct LLC in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, to expand sales of value-added Angus beef products. The project, funded through a $26.5 million package supporting 194 agricultural projects nationwide, will cover supplies, distribution, processing, and manufacturing costs as the company converts Angus beef into dry-aged primal pet products and beef jerky. USDA estimates the effort could add nearly 31,000 customers and increase revenue by about $165,000. The department said the program supports planning and working-capital needs for processing and marketing. USDA Rural Development also cited other awards, including $199,309 for Light Hill Meats in Columbia, Tennessee. Grants can be up to $50,000 for planning and $200,000 for working capital under fiscal 2026 rules.
