Virgin Voyages highlights earning opportunities as prices rise
Virgin Voyages is pitching more earning options for travel agents as cruise prices rise and it prepares for 2027. SJ Walker, the line’s new UK market director, told a Travel Weekly webcast that agents and partners remain central to its strategy, citing trade initiatives such as hosting 1,200 agents around the UK aboard Valiant Lady in August. She said full capacity across the fleet now allows the cruise line to “evolve” product and rates, aiming for a “slightly higher” average charge while refining the offering. Walker added that about 65% of business comes through trade versus 35% direct, and that the trade share is expected to grow. She highlighted growing group opportunities launched in June, including 2% bonus commission and benefits like free cabins and group dining concierge support, plus extra sales such as bar tabs and a romance package.
