Virginia Beach crews respond to sinking fishing boat near Lesnar Bridge

Virginia Beach crews responded to a report of a boat in distress near Lesnar Bridge on Sunday afternoon. Officials dispatched units at 4:28 p.m., and the first responders arrived at 4:36 p.m. On scene, they found a 40-foot fishing vessel taking on water. Fire Department crews used pumps to keep the boat afloat, while the U.S. Coast Guard shuttled it back to Little Creek. A viewer sent photos to WAVY’s “10 On Your Side.” Six people were aboard at the time, and there were no reported injuries.
