What would you do with nearly 17 acres on Tomales Bay?
A nearly 17-acre waterfront property on Tomales Bay in the unincorporated community of Marshall is up for sale for $13 million, listing brokers say for the first time in the area’s history. The holding spans four parcels along a 2,500-foot shoreline and includes 18 existing buildings, among them four homes, the Marshall Boat Yard, and the Marshall U.S. Post Office. It’s also home to the Point Reyes Oyster Company, run by Martin Strain and family with Bodega Bay Oyster Company. The property currently produces under $400,000 in annual operating revenue, with about $147,000 net income, according to brokers. Portions are zoned village commercial-residential, and one wraps around the post office with agricultural zoning and a deep-water dock. The listing also includes the land leased to the USPS facility. Neighboring Marshall draws visitors en route between Point Reyes Station and the Point Reyes National Seashore; the Seashore logged about 2.4 million recreational visitors in 2024.
