Why Taylor McGregor is Leaving Cubs Broadcasts on Marquee Sports Network

Taylor McGregor, a familiar presence on Chicago Cubs broadcasts since Marquee Sports Network launched in 2020, will not return with the team beyond this season. The sideline reporter is leaving the network to work full-time at ESPN, according to interviews including one with the Chicago Tribune. McGregor said the move offered a career-growth opportunity at ESPN, the “Worldwide Leader in Sports.” She has already worked in some capacity for ESPN since September 2019, including sideline reporting for college football and the United Football League, and she has appeared on ESPN shows, such as The Pat McAfee Show. McGregor previously worked at AT&T SportsNet in Denver.
