Alex Marquez's return to MotoGP at the Czech Grand Prix ended with a withdrawal after qualifying 14th, as the Spaniard prioritised recovery following a violent Barcelona crash just over a month earlier. A team statement said, after consulting with the team and medical staff, he would withdraw from the rest of the weekend to focus on healing. He had signalled a practice-by-practice approach, indicating caution about a full comeback this weekend. The move preserves his health ahead of the Assen round, where medical clearance will be required to participate. The weekend’s Brno events also included a three-place grid penalty for Toprak Razgatlioglu and a promotion for Cal Crutchlow, reshaping the Sunday grid.
