All aboard the Tuchel train? England camp has clear winners and losers - AOL

England manager Thomas Tuchel planned continuity for the Nations League window and the start of a new international cycle, aiming to build on positives from the World Cup. But injuries and later withdrawals shrank his options: ahead of the Czechia match at Wembley, he could count only 12 available players from the original World Cup squad. Tuchel and his staff used the reduced group to road-test an updated model, emphasizing more freedom to roam, trusting instincts, and taking risks—while still maintaining core principles like covering teammates. The camp’s reported winners included Alex Scott, Lewis Hall, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, with James Trafford also pushing for goalkeeper No. 1 behind Jordan Pickford.
