Biker, aged 17, dies country road crash in Aberdeenshire

A 17-year-old rider has died in a motorbike crash on the B9031 near Pennan in Aberdeenshire, police said. The collision happened at about 17:30 on Monday, when a black Honda CB500 motorcycle was involved. Officers said no other vehicles were involved, and the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for around six hours while accident investigators examined the site. Sgt Peter Henderson, of the north east road policing unit, said inquiries were ongoing to establish the full circumstances and asked anyone with information to contact Police Scotland.
