Biker jailed over fatal collision with pedestrian in Leeds
xCruzo Brief
Reece Manley, an unlicensed motorcyclist, has been jailed for 14 months after a collision on the A6110 ring road in Leeds killed 75-year-old Alan Lloyd. Lloyd was crossing the road on 26 March 2022 when Manley, riding a Kawasaki, hit him. At Leeds Crown Court in August, Manley denied causing death by dangerous driving but admitted an alternate charge of causing death by careless driving, along with driving without the required licence and insurance. The court heard Lloyd had been heading home from a night out and it was unclear how he ended up on the A6110. He died at Leeds General Infirmary the same night.
