BREAKING: Aussie young gun gets MotoGP call-up with KTM

Senna Agius will move up to MotoGP in 2027 on a multi-year deal with KTM, joining the Tech3 KTM team and partnering experienced Italian rider Luca Marini. The Sydney rider earned the final 2027 MotoGP grid spot after a strong run in Moto2 over the past two years, including four Grand Prix wins. Agius, 21, already has race wins this year at the Circuit of the Americas and in Jerez and is fourth in the Moto2 championship after 14 rounds. He also enters alongside other rookie candidates including Ducati’s Dani Holgado and Nicolo Bulega, Yamaha’s Izan Guevara and Honda’s David Alonso. His promotion continues Australia’s streak of full-time MotoGP riders to 43 years.
