Driver who died near Kelty named
A teenage driver involved in a fatal crash near Kelty has been named by authorities. Police identified the 17-year-old as Kerr Paterson, who lived in Saline. The incident occurred at around 2:25 a.m. on Sunday, 5 July, on the B914 near the junction with the A823, involving two cars: a yellow Volkswagen Golf and a blue Toyota Aygo. Kerr’s family requested privacy while inquiries continue to determine the full circumstances. A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, and police are appealing for witnesses and any dash-cam footage that may help. Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw said officers are continuing to ask people who have not yet spoken to get in touch.
