Everything you need to know about the first official MotoGP test with Pirelli tyres
Ten riders representing five manufacturers will take part in the first official Pirelli MotoGP test at Brno on Monday, focused on 850cc prototype bikes fitted with Pirelli tyres planned for introduction in 2027. The test places two riders from each of the five brands in Czechia, though not all will ride the same machines next year. Ducati will run Marc Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer, while Pedro Acosta and Dani Pedrosa ride for KTM, and Joan Mir with Luca Marini for Honda; Yamaha fields Toprak Razgatlioglu and test rider Augusto Fernandez. Aprilia had planned Marco Bezzecchi and Raul Fernandez, but Fernandez will not participate after battling appendicitis. Conducted behind closed doors at the request of Michelin, with no media access and no timing, the aim is to collect maximum data, including a planned sprint simulation. Pirelli has outlined 15 tyre compounds, with 7 front and 8 rear options.
