Francesco Bagnaia takes lights-to-flag victory in Brno MotoGP Sprint

Francesco Bagnaia led from lights to flag to claim his first MotoGP Sprint victory of 2026 at Brno, fending off a late charge from pole-sitter Ai Ogura. Bagnaia launched from the middle of the front row, taking the lead into Turn 1 and maintaining pressure on Ogura through the race. Ogura closed to within four-tenths of a second in the final four laps, but Bagnaia managed the pace to secure a 0.241-second margin at the line. Marc Marquez completed the podium in third after starting on the same soft rear tyre as Bagnaia. Bezzecchi crashed on the penultimate lap, promoting Jorge Martin into fifth; Di Giannantonio finished fourth, and several late crashes affected the rest of the field, including Cal Crutchlow.
