Hyundai is launching two new EVs, the IONIQ 4 and IONIQ 7

Hyundai is preparing two new electric SUVs to plug gaps in its EV lineup: the IONIQ 4 and IONIQ 7. Hyundai positions IONIQ 4 below the IONIQ 5, slightly larger than the IONIQ 5, and aimed at families. The IONIQ 4 is a B-segment SUV intended to sit between the newly launched IONIQ 3 and the IONIQ 5. Hyundai hasn’t confirmed full details, but an insider at Hyundai Europe, Chris McKinnon, urged buyers to “watch this space.” Expected battery options for IONIQ 4 include 42 kWh (up to 214 miles WLTP) and 61 kWh (up to 308 miles). Pricing in the UK could start around £25,000, with an IONIQ 4 likely replacing the Kona Electric there. The IONIQ 7, due in Europe in 12 to 18 months, is expected to offer two- or three-row seating, 800V fast charging, and at least 400 miles WLTP range. It could start around £45,000–£50,000.
