Jorge Martin declared fit to start Malaysian GP by MotoGP doctor
xCruzo Brief
Jorge Martin has been cleared to take part in Friday’s opening practice at the Malaysian Grand Prix after MotoGP doctor Angel Charte approved the Aprilia rider following fitness tests on Thursday. The green light is temporary: Martin must pass further evaluation after FP1 before he’s allowed to race for the rest of the weekend. The Spaniard broke his arm in a high-speed crash during last Saturday’s sprint at Phillip Island and was ruled out of the Australian GP after the full-distance race was cancelled due to poor visibility. Aprilia stressed the FIM medical team will review him again after FP1, with Martin’s participation seen as crucial for his title hopes.
