Kirk Ella man fined for abandoning Mercedes car in the village
A man from Kirk Ella, Graham Michael Bell, was fined for abandoning a damaged Mercedes car in the village. Bell was found guilty of leaving a badly-damaged Mercedes S320 on a street in Grundale in September del año pasado. He did not attend Beverley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 24, and the case was heard in his absence. The court ordered a £220 fine, plus £409.06 in costs and an £88 victim surcharge, for a total of £717.06. East Riding Council officers discovered the vehicle on May 12 after a public report, noting a missing part and damage to the front wing, with the car registered as off-road and an MOT expired on November 11, 2024. After Bell failed to remove it despite conversations and letters, the car was declared abandoned on September 9, 2025 and seized by the council.
