Man dead after Westmoreland County motorcycle crash

A 19-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash Sunday morning in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The coroner’s office said the crash occurred around 8:41 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 819 and St. Clair Avenue in Hempfield Township. Lam V. Duong, of Greensburg, was riding a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 500 south on Route 819 when he failed to negotiate a turn, according to the investigation summary. The motorcycle left the roadway, struck a ditch and a boulder, and separated from Duong. He was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 9:38 a.m., with blunt force injuries. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
