Marc Marquez leads second practice at Germany MotoGP

Marc Marquez led the second practice session at the German MotoGP on Friday, setting the pace after a competitive closing run at the Sachsenring. Marquez recorded a best lap of 1m19.394s, finishing 0.166s ahead of Trackhouse Aprilia’s Raul Fernandez, while VR46 Ducati’s Fabio Di Giannantonio held third. The session’s main disappointment was Pecco Bagnaia, who missed qualification to Q2 for the fourth time this season after ending 13th in practice. Earlier, Bezzecchi briefly topped the times with 1m20.605s, and Fernandez later used a fresh soft rear tyre to improve to 1m20.535s. Di Giannantonio then took over with 1m20.104s before Marquez responded, with Jack Miller (Pramac Yamaha) climbing toward second after matching moments. Marquez’s final push came with about three minutes remaining and a late yellow flag for an Enea Bastianini crash. Alex Marquez was fourth, Miller fifth, and Ai Ogura finished sixth; Pedro Acosta was ninth, while Franco Morbidelli completed the top 10. Bastianini crashed late and finished 11th, with Brad Binder 12th ahead of Bagnaia, and Morbidelli faced possible additional penalties for impeding.
