Marc Marquez quickest in second MotoGP practice
Marc Marquez set the pace in the second MotoGP practice session at the Sachsenring, recording the fastest lap and establishing a near-constant margin over the field. The Spaniard clocked 1:19.394, finishing almost two-tenths clear of the rest of the riders. Trackhouse rider Raul Fernandez led the timesheets during the first session and then improved to take second overall for Friday’s running. Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46 Ducati) placed third, followed by Alex Marquez (Gresini) and surprise contender Jack Miller. Ai Ogura finished sixth, with Aprilia’s factory duo—Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin—close behind. Pedro Acosta ranked ninth and Franco Morbidelli ended up in the final Q2 position in tenth. Enea Bastianini and Brad Binder missed the mark by half a tenth, while Francesco Bagnaia was next. Honda’s Luca Marini topped the Japanese marque order ahead of Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo and Joan Mir.
