Marquez makes Aprilia pay, rising Japanese star's wish, Aussie's 's***ty feeling' - MotoGP Talking Points
Aprilia’s MotoGP campaign has been thrown into the spotlight after Marc Marquez delivered back-to-back maximum points, first winning the sprint and then the Grand Prix in Hungary, followed by a powerful response after a chaotic weekend at Brno. Marquez narrowed his championship gap dramatically, cutting it to 40 points behind Marco Bezzecchi with 13 rounds remaining. The swing was fueled by errors from Aprilia’s side and key moments: Jorge Martin took down multiple riders at the first corner in Balaton Park, while Bezzecchi was unable to race at Brno after being red-carded for striking a marshal and subsequently receiving a race ban. Marquez, returning from right shoulder and foot surgeries, said the “very optimistic” target was a podium after qualifying fifth, but he found pace when passing leaders and managing tyre use in the race heat.
