Massive bison rams pickup truck in Yellowstone after driver tries to avoid collision

A driver in Yellowstone National Park was injured after a bison charged his pickup early Thursday morning. A video shared on Facebook shows the animal standing on a dark road before rushing the vehicle and striking the front-left side. The driver, Kyle Weber, a seasonal mechanic working in Yellowstone, had stopped his Ford Ranger at around 2:45 a.m. near Mud Volcano after spotting the bison, according to Cowboy State Daily. Weber said he slammed on the brakes, waited for the animal to move, and then the bison unexpectedly charged and hit. The impact reportedly pushed the truck back at least a foot and a half, denting the bumper and hood and breaking a side marker light. He said he plans to repair the damage but may keep the dented hood as a reminder.
