Tom McCullough will join the Red Bull Formula 1 team in 2027 as head of racing, the squad announced Tuesday. He is currently performance director at Aston Martin, where former Red Bull designer Adrian Newey is principal. McCullough will replace Max Verstappen’s race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase, who is moving to McLaren by 2028 at the latest; Red Bull said Lambiase’s switch was announced in April. Red Bull said it is “delighted” to welcome McCullough at the start of 2027 and highlighted his experience for the role. McLaren has said the 45-year-old will work with team principal Andrea Stella in a supporting capacity.
