Meet the Audi Nuvolari: a 217-mph hybrid supercar that no-one saw coming
Audi unveils the Nuvolari, a 217-mph hybrid that claims 1,001 horsepower and marks a new pinnacle for the brand. The car borrows heavily from Lamborghini’s Temerario, reimagined with a carbon-fiber body and higher-performance tech. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 integrates with three electric motors to deliver a combined 1,001 hp at an extreme 10,000 rpm, enabling 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds and 0-125 mph in 6.8 seconds, with a top speed of 217 mph. The Nuvolari also features a 7.3 kWh gross battery, significantly larger than Temerario’s 3.8 kWh, and applies Quattro Predictive Ride, a real-time torque-vectoring system that optimizes grip and downforce using wheel-by-wheel adjustments. The result is a carbon-fiber, avant-garde hypercar that leverages advanced aerodynamics and electronic stability, offering five drive modes controlled from the steering wheel and a level of performance that surpasses the Italian sibling’s capabilities.
