MotoGP Indonesian GP: Raul Fernandez claims pole, Marc Marquez outqualifies Jorge Martin

Raul Fernandez secured his maiden MotoGP pole at the Indonesian Grand Prix, improving to 1:28.562 on his final run to beat Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi by a tenth. Bezzecchi’s best lap was interrupted when yellow flags were brought out after an incident involving Gresini’s Fermin Aldeguer. Fabio di Giannantonio completed the front row in third, while reigning champion Marc Marquez qualified fourth, edging out title leader Jorge Martin, who starts fifth. In Q1, multiple crashes disrupted the session, with Ogura, Bastianini, Jack Miller, Diogo Moreira and Johann Zarco all falling. Marquez used a tactical approach on his lap, while Aprilia warned Martin about the world champion’s presence via the dashboard.
