MotoGP San Marino GP: Marc Marquez beats Marco Bezzecchi to another sprint win

Marc Marquez secured his sixth sprint win of the 2026 MotoGP season at the San Marino Grand Prix, passing polesitter Marco Bezzecchi at the start of the 13-lap race and fending off a late surge from Aprilia rival. Marquez took the chequered flag 1.068s ahead, closing the gap to Jorge Martin in the championship. Martin finished third on the other Aprilia after moving ahead of di Giannantonio on lap 7. Alex Marquez recovered to fifth, while Pedro Acosta finished sixth on the KTM. Luca Marini took ninth after surviving a mid-race collision involving Fabio Quartararo’s Yamaha.
