NASCAR Chase Tracker: Who's In, Who's Out, Who's On The Bubble?
NASCAR is reshaping its playoff format for 2026 by returning to the “Chase.” Instead of a win-and-in system, the 10-race Chase will feature the top 16 drivers from the regular-season standings, with no eliminations. Before the final stretch begins, points are reset with the regular-season champion at 2,100, second at 2,075, third at 2,065, fourth at 2,060, and the rest decreasing in five-point steps down to 16th at 2,000. There are nine regular-season races remaining: Sonoma, Chicagoland, Atlanta, North Wilkesboro, Indianapolis, Iowa, Richmond, New Hampshire and Daytona. The article says no one has clinched a spot, while nine drivers are at least 114 points above the cutline, including Tyler Reddick (+354), Denny Hamlin (+346) and Ryan Blaney (+221).
