Mercedes-AMG has introduced an electric version of the new CLA 45, extending the CLA lineup with a tri-motor powertrain claimed to deliver up to 671 bhp. The company links the setup to the A45’s electric architecture, offering 0-62 mph in 3.0 seconds for both the saloon and Shooting Brake. Peak torque is stated at 1,297 lb-ft, with the battery rated at 94 kWh and an announced range of 416 miles for the saloon (398 miles for the Shooting Brake, under gentle use). Charging is specified at 330 kW, targeting a 10-80% recharge in 22 minutes. Suspension uses adaptive dampers across Comfort, Sport and AMGFORCE S+ modes, plus multiple drive modes including Race with the AMG Dynamic Plus Package. Exterior changes include removal of the front light bar and an active aero rear spoiler, while the cabin adds Performance seats and sound/seat-shaker features.
