The latest Transporter lineup shows traditional diesel models priced from $58,590 for the SWB to $64,590 for the 4Motion LWB. The fully electric e-Transporter tops the range at $83,590 for the SWB and $85,590 for the LWB, placing it above rivals like Ford’s E-Transit Custom Trend LWB and LDV’s eDeliver 7, while still undercutting Mercedes-Benz’s eVito. Our test vehicle is the long-wheelbase e-Transporter, featuring 16-inch steel wheels, 215/65 R16C tyres, no spare, LED lights, and a cabin loaded with tech including a 12-inch digital display, a 13-inch touchscreen, CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charging, seven USB ports and two 12V sockets. Options include bulkhead deletion and various cargo enhancements, with VW partnering with converters for camper conversions.
