Samsung Electronics Becomes No. 1 in Automotive Memory for the First Time - MK

Samsung Electronics has overtaken Micron to claim the No. 1 spot in the global automotive memory semiconductor market, rising to 40% market share in 2025 from 35% in 2024, while Micron fell to 36%. Since 2019, Samsung’s share has grown from 21% to 40%, with DRAM at 44% and NAND flash at 33% in automotive memory; non-volatile memory is excluded from the tally. The growth reflects expanding demand from autonomous driving and advanced infotainment, with Samsung’s LPDDR and UFS products leading the way as core technologies.
