Norris fastest in final Hungarian GP practice, Hamilton second

Lando Norris set the pace in final practice ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, putting McLaren in a strong position for qualifying. In Saturday’s session at the Hungaroring, the reigning world champion logged a best lap of 1:17.939, finishing 0.117 seconds ahead of Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton. Kimi Antonelli was third, 0.129 behind Norris, and ahead of Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri and Mercedes teammate George Russell, while Max Verstappen was seventh and Isack Hadjar eighth, more than a second off. Hamilton was set to chase his 10th pole at the circuit and target a record ninth win. Ferrari had been fastest in both Friday sessions, and Antonelli led the standings by 45 points over Hamilton after 10 rounds. The session was halted with 39 minutes remaining after Cadillac’s Sergio Perez stopped on track with smoking brakes.
